Juliana grew up in Yellowstone National Park, where she developed an eye for color and incorporated nature into her designs. She moved to Bozeman, MT, during elementary school and grew up knitting and painting with her mother.

During her undergraduate degree at Colorado College, Juliana discovered her love for weaving under the tutelage of Jeanne Steiner. At CC, she began experimenting with a variety of weaving disciplines, eventually falling in love with Shibori weaving. During her time as an undergraduate student, Juliana taught fiber art adjuncts to other students for 2 years, and continued to grow her practice as an artist. Following graduation, she moved to Seattle and purchased a huge floor loom.

Juliana moved back to Bozeman in the fall of 2021 and has been focusing on branching out into new fiber art methods. Most recently, she has been working on her shibori dyeing and hand-looming techniques.
